Nadu MTG organizes tabletop gaming conventions in South India. This article discusses NaduMTG and its regional events, like Bant Nadu MTG. It covers their history, featured games, activities and how to participate.

History of Nadu MTG

In 2010, a group of Magic: The Gathering (MTG) fans in Chennai formed Nadu MTG. They wanted to build a local gaming community. Hosting their first con at a café, just 12 attended. Over time, word spread in the MTG scene. Participation grew each following year.

In 2014, organizer Ramesh saw potential beyond MTG. He added role-playing games, miniatures and trading card games. This attracted a broader fanbase. Over 100 attended that year.

By 2018, Nadu MTG established as South India’s premier tabletop gaming convention. Nearly 300 participated in events, demonstrations and tournaments over 3 days. Seeing growth, organizers registered NaduMTG as non-profit. This enabled sponsorships to support expansion.

Today, Nadu MTG welcomes over 500 gamers yearly. It expanded offerings to include board games, live-action role-play and video games. What started small blossomed into a major pop culture phenomenon regionally.
